Nike B. Whitcomb, CFRE, is the firm’s principal. She has more than three decades of experience in fundraising, management, public relations and marketing in both the public and private sectors. Her experience includes management of several non-profit organizations, feasibility studies and campaigns, strategic planning, development audits, board organization and development, staff training, prospect research and development of campaigns, public relations, and marketing materials. She is the lead trainer at the firm, providing seminars and special sessions on donor cultivation and solicitation to clients, as well as presentations on fundraising basics, campaign planning and overall strategies at local and national conferences. She has co-authored a book on special events fundraising and is writing a book on feasibility studies and capital campaigns. She is an alumna of Millikin University, Decatur, Illinois.
F. Hill, CFRE, joined the firm in 1993 as Senior Associate. Her career also includes more than three decades of experience with non-profit institutions, including strategic and long-range planning, board training, feasibility studies, capital campaigns and executive searches. A family move transplanted her to Massachusetts, and she remains an Of Counsel associate with the firm. She is an alumna of Northwestern University, Evanston, IL.
Charles Stanford, Of Counsel, has been with the firm since 2012. He has assisted a wide variety of non-profits with strategic planning and fundraising for annual, capital and endowment funds. Following a successful tenure at the Chicago Architecture Foundation, he has joined the Whitcomb team. He is an alumnus of the University of North Carolina in Charlotte, as well as Seabury Western Theological Seminary in Chicago.
All three of the primary consultants are active in their communities, volunteering for a wide variety of causes and interests.
NBWAI also has several project associates located throughout the United States who assist clients as appropriate. Collectively, the firm’s three primary consultants bring well over 100 years of experience to our clients.
